Job Description
Job Summary: The Quality Control (QC) Specialist is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves performing inspections, analyzing results, identifying defects, and working closely with operations and warehouse teams to implement corrective actions and maintain compliance with internal and external standards.
Key Responsibilities: Inspect and approve shipments, enforce scanning orders, to ensure they meet quality standards. Conduct routine audits and inspections across warehouse operations. Identify non-conformances and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and tools. Record and analyze fill rates, accuracy and damage data to detect trends or areas for improvement. Ensure all products comply with internal specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. Work closely with the warehouse management to resolve quality issues. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and documentation. Prepare quality reports and maintain accurate records of inspections, results, and related activities. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and data as needed.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred. Minimum three (3) years of experience in a quality control role. Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, or industry-specific equivalents. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Proficiency in using QC tools and software (e.g., calipers, micrometers, SPC software, LIMS). Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in supply chain, warehouse or distribution environment. Certifications such as CQI, CQA, Six Sigma, or similar desirable, not required. Familiarity with regulatory requirements
