Main Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for Logistics Division Master Data Entities, namely but not exclusively: Item, Item Branch, Address Book,
Accountable and responsible for defining and maintaining the standards related to master data management in scope in the Logistics Division. Defines process and procedures to maintain data objects throughout the life cycle, from creation/acquisition to phase-out / decommissioning. Issues guidelines and contributes to creating a shared knowledge base.
Accountable for the definition and monitoring of ‘Key Performance Indicators’ related to master data management in the Logistics Division
Accountable for the definition and implementation of the internal control mechanisms based on risk approach as part of the standards in the Logistics Division
Accountable for the definition of professional development and technical competencies, recruitment requirements, global training needs (integrating global training needs as per the standards), and other elements related to the human-resources’ life cycle. Provides training to key stakeholders on topics related to master data.
Accountable for the communication and dissemination of key processes, information, and updates within the area of master data management in the Logistics Division.
Accountable to ensure alignment and coherence with ICRC institutional master data.
Regularly analyses data usage and recommends changes based on their analysis.
Defines and manages data exchange processes, formats, and validation rules for third-party integrations (Interoperability)
Monitors emerging master data management tools, integration technologies, and industry standards
Participates in professional networks, conferences, and working groups to stay informed on regulatory changes and best practices.
Ensures that risks are mitigated by performing the controls assigned to his/her role as described in the Logistics Risk and Control Matrix
Education Required
Bachelor’s degree, technical degree or equivalent experience
Certified or trained in query language (T-SQL)
Certification in cloud computing, database management or Master Data an asset
Computer literacy: general knowledge of enterprise application integration tools (e.g. Biztalk) and Master Data Management tools
Experience Required
Minimum five years’ experience using an enterprise resource planning system, with both application functionalities and database structure knowledge.
Experience training people to use information systems an asset.
