Roles & Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, student-centered English Language Arts lessons aligned with the American Curriculum standards
Teach Middle and High School English classes, including reading, writing, grammar, and literature.
Develop lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials that meet the needs of diverse learners, including ELL students.
Foster critical thinking, communication skills, and creativity through differentiated learning strategies.
Maintain accurate records of student performance, progress, and attendance.
Provide regular feedback to students and parents, including participation in parent–teacher conferences.
Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and personal growth.
Integrate technology effectively into teaching (Google Classroom, digital resources, online platforms).
Collaborate with colleagues on planning, curriculum development, and school initiatives.
Participate in professional development sessions, staff meetings, and school events
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in English / English Literature / Linguistics (mandatory).
Must have Equivalency for qualifications
Teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, state teaching licence, or equivalent).
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Middle or High School English.
Experience teaching within the American Curriculum (highly preferred).
Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach reading comprehension, essay writing, literature analysis, and academic writing.
Experience supporting ELL students is an advantage.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
IELTS Academic 7.0 or equivalent for non-native English-speaking applicants (mandatory for approval).
A positive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to student success.
